Why do you need a carpentry license?
Every state and territory in Australia has its own licensing and registration requirements. To become a licensed carpenter, an individual must have:
  • The statewide criteria for issuance of a carpentry license.
  • Registration with an accredited building and construction authority or work under the supervision of a licensed builder.

  • Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Certificate III in Carpentry
